I’m associate Professor in Computer Science at University of L’Aquila, L’Aquila, Italy (www.univaq.it)
Currently I’m the Director of the University of L’Aquila Node of the InfoLife CINI Laboratory. The laboratory deals with Bioinformatics and SystemBiology research topics (since 2015)
and a member of the Organizing Committee of the Professional Master “Post-disaster technical-administrative management in local authorities” of University of L’Aquila (since 2019).
Since march 2023, I’m in the Technical- Scientific Committee of CeTemps center of excellence.

- Coordinator of L’Aquila participant (2020-2024) - SoBigData++ EU project - Call H2020-INFRAIA-2018-2020 (grant n. 871042, https://plusplus.sobigdata.eu/). SoBigData++ strives to deliver a distributed, Pan-European, multi-disciplinary research infrastructure for big social data analytics, coupled with the consolidation of a cross-disciplinary European research community, aimed at using social mining and big data to understand the complexity of our contemporary, globally-interconnected society
- Member of the Scientific Board of Territori Aperti and Coordinator of Territori Aperti IT research infrastructure (2018-present) – Territori Aperti is a project of University of L’Aquila and Municipality of L’Aquila city on the data-driven management of post-disaster processes. The project is funded by Fondo Territori Lavoro Conoscenza CGIL CISL UIL (budget 1.8ML - https://territoriaperti.univaq.it/)
- Coordinator of PINKAMP, a project to attract high school girls in STEM studies (2018-present). PINKAMP (www.pinkamp.disim.univaq.it) is a project of the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics, University of L’Aquila.
